Start with the basics

Evidence deserves context.

THC & CBD

THC is responsible for cannabis intoxication. CBD is different, but is not risk-free. Both can affect the body and interact with medicines.

Potential benefits

Evidence suggests modest benefits for some chronic pain and multiple sclerosis symptoms. Certain cannabinoid medicines have approved uses. This does not mean all cannabis products treat those conditions.

Personal circumstances

Health conditions, age, medicines, product ingredients, and route of use all matter. Older adults may be more sensitive to adverse effects. Ask a clinician or pharmacist to review your situation.

Is cannabis a proven cure?

No. Evidence and risks differ by condition and product. Be cautious about broad cure claims, especially those that rely only on testimonials.
